A sincere book which helps the new generations understand the many riches that mountaineering has for them. Cita en la Cumbre describes an adventure. An adventure that spans two decades, that begins and ends in Patagonia and that, to a large extent, takes place in that part of the world. The adventure is a life lived under the influx of mountains. Sometimes on their slopes, sometimes looking at them from afar, but always thinking of them. I began writing the book when, close to turning forty years old, I decided to try again to climb Mt. Fitz Roy, that magnificent sculpture in the Patagonian Andes.
